Scallop Recipes

Pan Seared Scallops as a Main Dish

  • 1 tube SEAFOOD NATURALS™ – Scallops cut into 3/4 inch slices
  • 4 tbs. Smart Balance® (or butter)
  • 2 tbs. Olive oil
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste

Push out the scallop from the tube, slice it up in 8-10 pieces, and set aside. Add the shortening, olive oil to a 10” skillet, and heat to temperature over medium heat. Add the scallops and brown both sides before serving. Bon Apetite!

Scallops Wrapped in Bacon

  • 1 tube SEAFOOD NATURALS™ – Scallops cut into 3/4 inch slices
  • 5 Strips cut in half Bacon
  • 10 Toothpicks
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste

Preheat your oven to 350.

Push out the scallop meat from the tube and slice it in 10 pieces. Wrap each ˝ strip of bacon around the sliced scallop rounds, and toothpick them them through. Select a baking dish big enough for all 10 slices, arrange the picked scallops on the dish and pop it into the oven for about 30 minutes. Remove the finished scallops from the oven, let them cool, and enjoy.

Baked Scallops

In New England, we call these things “Baked Stuffed Scallops” It’s easy to do, so do the following, and you’ll have a New England comfort food at its best. What you’ll need:

  • 1 tube SEAFOOD NATURALS™ – Scallops
  • 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs (seasoned or not)
  • 2 tbs. Smart Balance (or butter)
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste

Preheat your oven to 350.

Push out all the scallop meat from the tube, and slice it into 8 -10 pieces, lay out the pieces on a baking dish or sheet pan. Dot all the pieces with dabs of the butter (you can use more than above if you like). evenly sprinkly the breadcrumbs over the buttered scallops, and pop them in the oven for about 20 minutes. (Don'’t forget, the scallops are already cooked, so you only need to warm the center of the meat.) If you want the top more browned, turn on the broiler for a few minutes before removing from the oven.
